Summer Rerun: Lessons from 20 Years of Festival Producing

On March 15, 2019 I celebrated my 20 year anniversary in festival producing. This year's March 15th was spent in quarantine, and all festivals have been basically canceled for the rest of 2020. 
 
This week would have been the opening of the 72nd annual Virginia Highlands Festival, where I serve as the Executive Director. It's bittersweet. 
 
I thought this would be an appropriate week to rerun last year's episode of the lessons I've learned along the way, so that when we finally can gather together, you can learn from my mistakes.
