I am currently fortunate to be working with an amazing board. Since our org is mostly volunteer-run and board members have operational authority over 90% of our programs, this is a very good thing. But it wasn't always like this.
This week I'll share how I survived a bad board year and share some tips that you can use if you are currently dealing with this.
And if you are on a board where you see your ED and/or senior staff being bullied in the workplace by other board members, please say something to the board chair! You know it's wrong, so don't let it continue. I would have been devastated without the board allies I had cultivated sticking by me.
